The Biblical king who thought he was a cow!

In the Bible, there are many wild stories, such as the fight between David and Goliath, where Goliath, a giant, is killed because of a stone shot from David's slingshot.

One of the stories includes a king, who was punished by the Lord so hard, he acted as if he were a cow!

That king is no other than the lunatic, evil and cruel emperor of Babylon...

Nebuchadnezzar II!

Nebuchadnezzar II, or simply "Nebuchadnezzar" of Babylon was best known for his cruelty, especially during the times of Jeremiah and Daniel.

Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babylon and the emperor of the Neo-Babylonian empires, most likely between the years 605 and 562 BCE.

He is also known for being credited with hanging the gardens of Babylon, claiming the house of Solomon, and of course,

exiling the Jews and torturing them in cruel ways.

Now, for the part we all were waiting for...

Nebuchadnezzar the cow!

Upon conquering Jerusalem, the Lord punish Nebuchadnezzar, by making him lose his human mind, and thus making him eat grass like an ox.

This condition is considered by some to be the pyschological disorder, called Boanthropy

In basic terms, for people like me, who do not really understand complicated terms, one could argue that it is a condition, which a person who suffers from it acts and behaves as if they were an oxen.

Where can I find this in the Bible?

In the fourth chapter of the book of Daniel, in verse 25, one could read:

"King Nebuchadnezzar, ... you will eat grass like cattle, ..." (Daniel 4:25).

These parts of the verse tell us, that Nebuchanedzzar (II) will go insane, and eat grass as if he were a cow.

Conclusion

In the Bible, there are many esoteric and wild stories, such as a man having a rock thrown by a woman fall on him, and then asking to be killed by a sword, so he wouldn't die by the hands of a woman.

Abimelech mentioned?

In one of those stories, the cruel Nebuchadnezzar II loses his human mind and sanity, which he did not have many of anyways, and having it be replaced by the mind of a cow.

Thank you for reading, and...

Have a fantastic day!
